Mental Toughness is seen as one of the key attributes to success. The MTQ48 is an internationally recognised assessment that evaluates the mind-set and related qualities such as character, resilience, grit, etc to identify individual strengths and weaknesses in the area of Mental Toughness.
Most psychometrics focus on the measurement of behaviours (how we act) and attributes (how we feel) – Mental Toughness looks at how we think which is a key driver for the development of behaviour and attributes
Research carried out under the direction of Professor Peter Clough of Manchester Metropolitan University has identified the four key components of Mental Toughness. These are called the 4 Cs.
The MTQ48 assesses the 4 C’s in individuals and groups through a unique 48 item high quality psychometric measure (MTQ48).
It is a normative assessment which enables users to assess mental toughness before and after an event such as a training & development or coaching programme.
The MTQ48 provides a highly effective and user friendly set of reports based on your assessment designed for optimum impact and help you develop in the areas identified in the assessment as requiring further improvement.
The MTQ48 involves taking an online assessment questionnaire which takes approximately 10-15 minutes to complete. All assessment are strictly confidential involving candidates answering highly focussed questions to assess your Mental Toughness.
